Ukhrul, April 23 2017: A felicitation programme for scholarship students was held at Ukhrul Town Hall, reports our correspondent.

DIG IK Muivah attended the function as the chief guest while Col Rajesh Dogra, CO, 27 AR and Shangam Shaliwo, IFS were the guests of honour.

The scholarship program is undertaken under the aegis of Northeast Foundation for Education and Culture (NEFEC) with an aim to provide free and subsidized coaching of math and science subjects to the students of classes 8 to 12 of Ukhrul district.

More than 3000 students have benefited from this scholarship program.

In 2014, a project called SUPER10 was initiated to enhance science and its allied courses so as to help the community in producing more science oriented professionals such as doctors, engineers, architecture, scientists, etc.

DIG IK Muivah said that for successful career, seeking God's blessing and determination are required.

He also stated, "The best teachers are the one who are committed but not necessarily the gold medallists.

That is why mission schools and colleges around the world have excellent results because of the dedication of the teachers" .
