Nagaland is getting ready to introduce helicopter service from Kohima to Dzukou Valley.
The service is likely to start from last week of November, according to a report published in a Nagaland based newspaper.
Sources in Kohima said that the helicopter service will be operated twice in a week, on Monday and Wednesday.
The service is part of the Nagaland government's initiative to connect its district headquarters by helicopter.
The service from Kohima to district headquarters of Makokchung, Mon, Tueyensang, Juneveto, Phek and Wokha has already been in operation.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio along with state's Home Minister Imkong Imchen, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism Yitachu and Nagaland Chief Secretary Lalthara landed in a helicopter in Dzukou Valley November 16 to take first hand stock of the introduction of service.
They reached the valley's helipad at 8 am and stayed for about 45 minutes in the famed valley.
They also interacted with government officials and public leaders.
Interacting with Southern Angami Public Organization leaders he assured them that a helicopter service will be introduced by the end of November for tourists wanting to visit the famed valley.
The service is for interested tourists 'but not having the time and energy to do it' .
