Imphal, February 22 2017: Zeliangrong Students' Union, Khoupum Area (ZSUKA) has vehemently condemned the gun fight between the police personnel and armed miscreants yesterday in Khoupum area.

Condemning the attack, ZSUKA said that such act has not only threatened the lives of the citizens but also disturbed the peaceful environment of the area.

Urging the involved group(s) not to repeat such life threatening act in future, ZSUKA also appealed to the people to exercise their franchise in the upcoming election in free and fair manner.

On the other hand, ZSUKA also stated that one Holison Kamei, s/o Thambou Kamei of Namkaolong-II, Khoupum who are arrested by the police following the gun fight is an innocent civilian.

ZSUKA urged the authority concerned to release Holison at the earliest.
