Imphal, August 21 2019:
As part of its endeavour to build its students emotionally and mentally stronger, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Akampat organised a motivational talk and interactive session with Dr Dhanabir Laishram in its auditorium yesterday.
During the programme, motivational speaker Dr Dhanabir emphasized on the importance of boosting youths' morale and the dynamics activities for moulding children to become responsible citizens.

The speaker pointed out that those students and youths who are worrying about getting employment in their future should have firm determination about becoming deserving persons at the onset and continue to acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills as much as they can.
"If one has firm determination, he/she will be able to generate employment not only for himself/herself but for others also," he said.
"Going to worshipping places and seeking blessings from God to get what you want may not work unless there is sincere strive and pursuit for the set desire," he said advising students to be hard-working, smart and persevere.
Government, authorities concerned and all stakeholders should set up adequate infrastructure and provide environment which will be conducive to establishing a good education system, he added.
"One should ask logical questions, adopt scientific approach," Dhanabir said adding that "Reformation, Refinement and Resourcefulness are the three components which will make people successful".
Advising students to do things 'differently' and be changes that the State needs, he encouraged NIELIT students to bring reformation through application of their IT knowledge.
Noting that India will have a maximum youth population by 2021, he said that the country will once again become a 'golden peacock' if youths work sincerely and become resourceful under the three 'Hs' framework - Head, Heart and Hand.
Explaining the three 'Hs', he said that a person should earn maximum knowledge with his/her head, then transform the knowledge through heart and finally execute or translate the transformed knowledge through/with hand/practical.
Saying that patriotism and spirit of Nationalism are fading from the present society, he underscored the need for instilling such values in the minds of the younger generations to take forward the State and the Nation as a whole.
The present education system in the country, more particularly Manipur lacks counselling platform for students and young children.
This is another reason for failure of the State and Nation's education system, he said.
Students must create their own destiny and prepare suitable and efficient roadmap for their journey ahead.
They should shun the habit of 'keeping works/responsibilities pending for next day' and welcome all opportunities available in a day to achieve a little of their set goals, he added.
Apart from inculcating Intelligence Quotient (IQ), youth should develop and nurture Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Social Quotient (SQ) .
Many of the problems in the society are result of lack of the 'two important quotients - EQ and SQ,' he asserted.
NIELIT Executive Director Th Prameshwor Singh, staff and students attended the event.
