Training program on Pung, Esei, Jagoi and Pena begins

Imphal, July 21 2024: A training program on Pung, Esei, Jagoi and Pena was kicked off for the inmates of Lamboikhongnangkhong Relief Camp today.

The program was jointly organised by the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board and Lamboikhongnangkhong Relief Camp.

The programme was undertaken by the Pung, Esei, Jagoi and Pena Loishang of LSTB upon receiving requests from the inmates to teach them the art forms.

The program was inaugurated by Ngamgthang Luchingpurel, LSTB in the presence of Huirem Ningthem, in-charge of Lamboikhongnangkhong Relief Camp.

Altogether 50 inmates participated in the program taught by Chingakham Meloti from LSTB Esei Loishang and Laishram Senapati from Pung Loishang, LSTB and their respective teams.

LSTB also made a monetary donation to the relief camp on top of handing over 14 reed (Kouna) mats to be used during the program which will be held every Sunday.
