Imphal, June 21 2011: A 52-year old man was hospitalized with multiple injuries at a hospital after he was beat up by suspected Central Security personnel.

According to a complaint lodged by the victim today to the police, after he recovered from injuries, Lairenlakpam Nobin Singh @ Lemba son of Modhu of Chingarel Tejpur, Imphal East was kidnapped by six-seven persons suspected to be from 116 Bn BSF camp at Imphal Capitol Project.

They came on a Maruti Gypsy (number not known to the complainant) followed by another Bullet Proof vehicle with occupants in it wearing camouflaged uniform and forcibly dragged him into the Gypsy and took towards Phaknung village.

After being threatened of dire consequences and assaulted with no reason.

As a result, he received bruise injury on his person and evacuated to hospital for medical treatment, he complaint.
