Jayantakumar's lyrics inspire Melody

Imphal, May 21 2015 : "The lyrics of Late B Jayantakumar are inspiring, full of meaning and I must admit that I learnt many things from his work.

He is the role model of the young generation".

This was tribute paid by Melody Khoirom who topped HSLC examination, 2015.She was chatting with Hueiyen Lanpao in her residence on her studies, likes and dislikes in life.

Melody's favourite pastime is listening to music and she tunes on to the good old transistor radio.

She wants to pursue a career in medical sciences or opt for higher academic studies.

Her favourite subject is physics.

However, she also quietly nurtures a dream to appear for the civil service examination.

Born into a humble family, Melody is one of the brightest among four sisters.

She believes in honesty and truth and says that these are a must for achieving success in life.

Her teachers at Khuman Maheikol Mayang Imphal when Hueiyen Lanpao paid a visit in the school were all praises for her being an all rounder.

Melody also sings well and is a keen cricket player.

Her favourite historical figure is Mahatma Gandhi.

When asked why she likes Gandhi, the father of the Nation, she said that she had read his autobiography "My Experiment with Truth" and found it riveting and amazing.

With his message of non-violence and belief in truth, he freed the country from British Colonial yoke, she said.

On the study front, she said that every day is a learning day and she always tries to improve her answering skills in exams.

She strategically plans out what and how to write answer for the questions from her text book.
