District Level Quiz Competition held as part of Road Safety Month

Thoubal, January 21 2025: As part of National Road Safety Month celebration, a District Level Quiz Competition was held today at the Auditorium Hall of Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School, Thoubal.

The competition was jointly organised by Zonal Education Office Thoubal and District Transport Office, Thoubal under the initiative of District Administration Thoubal.

The Quiz competition which was participated by 4 different schools of the district was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal, Ahanthem Subhash, ZEO, Thoubal, Arambam Anilkumar, District Transport Officer, Thoubal, Hemochandra Irengbam and Chaoyaima Hr Sec School, Principal, M Muhindro as presidium members.

Speaking at the occasion, DC Thoubal, A Subhash stated that the National Road Safety Month which is observed across the country was also launched at Thoubal district since January 1 and will continue till January 31.Highlighting that a total number of 1060 accident cases were reported at Thoubal District Hospital in the year 2024, he urged the people of the district to be cautious while driving vehicles and to follow the traffic rules to ensure safety while driving.

At the quiz competition, New Era Higher Secondary School bagged 1st position, Peace and Freedom Academy bagged 2nd position while Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School bagged 3rd position and KM Blooming Higher Secondary School bagged 4th position.

The prizes for the winners of the competition will be handed during the Republic Day celebration.
