Imphal, July 18 2024: A two-day NIELIT Job Fair 2024 on the theme, "Empowering the Youths and Preparing Future Professionals" began today at National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Imphal campus in Akampat.

The inaugural function of the job fair was graced by Nambam Deben, Director (IT), Government of Manipur; Roshnikumar Yambem, Managing Director, Globizs Web Solutions Pvt Ltd and N Debachandra Singh, Director, NIELIT, Imphal as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Debachandra stressed on the need for the Government to give more attention to industries to provide employment opportunities to the thousands of educated unemployed youths of the State.

He asserted that NIELIT has set a target to conduct Job Fairs twice in a year and today's event is the first Job Fair for the year 2024 .

"NIELIT provides training on industry related and other professional courses to more than 600 students every year", said Debachandra while adding that the Job Fair was conducted to facilitate educated unemployed youths of Manipur.

Further, Debachandra shared that a total of 24 companies and private firms are taking part in the fair.
