Imphal, March 18 2021:
Amid scare of a second COVID-19 wave, the Directorate of Health Services has notified that all air passengers coming from eight States will be tested with RT-PCR on arrival at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, Imphal from tomorrow.
This is to make Covid testing more efficient, said the notification of Director, Health Services, Dr K Rajo Singh.
The eight States include Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana.
Passengers will be allowed to leave the airport after the collection of samples.
They will be instructed to undergo home/self isolation until the test reports are communicated by the officials, the notification said.
