AMSP condoles demise of writer Sanasam Binod

The Assam Manipuri Sahitya Parishad (AMSP) has condoled the demise of renowned writer Sanasam Binod who passed away on May 9 owing to health conditions, at his residence in Cachar.
A condolence meeting was held on May 15 at the residence of AMSP gen secy Prof Ngangom Basanta Kumar while observing all COVID-19 precautionary guidelines and measures.
The meeting was attended by AMSP vice president Ngangom Joykumar, JAC for Safeguard of Indigenous Manipuri Peoples of Assam chairman Arambam Nandababu and AMSP Lakhipur District Committee president Yumnam Nadiyachand as presidium members.
The vice president of AMSP Lakhipur District Committee Dr KN Chand gave a brief account on the life and achievements of Sanasam Binod.
The condolence meeting was also attended by COCPIN chairman Saikhom Kamla Kanta, AMSP secy Prof Khumujam Dhiren, Keisham Champalal, theatre activist Somor Luwang, AAMSU president Pangabam Nilkanta, COCPIN secy Dr Raju Khumujam, advocate Fanjowbam Lokenath and Robindro Moirangcha who prayed for the soul of the departed to rest in peace.
