Imphal, October 16 2012:
The Joint Committee of Hill District Students Organisation (JCHDSO) has warned today that it will straight away impose the proposed indefinite economic blockade after the lapse of three days that it had deferred.
"This will be done in case if no positive response comes forth from the state government," a student leader said.
The JCHDSO then stated that it was compelled to call such agitation by the act of the state government.
It also said that the student bodies do not want to bring hardship to the people by imposing blockade.
"We are agitating against the state government and not the public," it added.
On October 2, the JCHDSO had announced to impose the indefinite blockade from midnight of October 15 saying that the government of Manipur was not taking seriously on the issue of Teacher's Eligibility Test (TET) .
