Senapati, April 16 2020: Undeterred by remoteness and hot weather to gather organic vegetables, Thonglang Akutpa Village took an extra mile to donate a huge amount of vegetables for students stranded in DHQ areas.

The humanitarian aid amidst the pandemic coronavirus crisis affecting stranded students brought smiles to many students who were given vegetables through Senapati District Student's Association and CHILDLINE Senapati Chapter.

According to SDSA, Thonglang Akutpa village leaders, village elders, Church leaders, women society, youth & students join the vegetable collection from jungles before transporting on their own expense to deposit at the apex student's body office today.

Drawing huge appreciation from many, the vegetables will reach out to many stranded students in Senapati DHQ areas which house more than 20 educational institutions.

"Such show of humanity and love to our student's community during this crisis is indeed a blessing and lauded," stated SDSA leaders Hopeson Mao and Pung Mark.

Villages from such remote area rescuing our children is a wonderful and emotional gesture, informed a senior leader present to distribute the vegetables.

MLA Thokchom Lokeshwar has distributed monetary aids and relief materials donated towards Khundrakpam MLA's COVID-19 Relief Fund.

The MLA personally visited and distributed the relief materials clubs and Meira Paibis of Chanung, Keibi Khullen, Keibi Mayai Leikai, Tiger Camp, Purum Pangaltabi and Khundrakpam Makha Leikai.

Meanwhile, BJP Manipur Pradesh has distributed relief materials to migrants workers staying at Khwairamband Ima Keithels.

The essential items were distributed by party workers led by Imphal Central District president Aribam Puinabrata under the aegis of BJP Manipur general secretary Yaiskul AC MLA Thokcom Satyabrata.

KEDO assisted the party in the distribution.

Relief materials have also been distributed to people of areas under Amateur Athletic Association Kongpal today.

Sagolband Assembly Constituency MLA RK Imo started providing relief materials for the second phase to the people of the Constituency from Thursday.

The relief materials would be distributed to every household of the Constituency.

Relief materials were also distributed to the populace of different localities in Moreh, Lamding Nashikhong Leikai, Sapam Mamang Leikai and Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency among others.
