He was answering to queries of the media persons at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) Porompat today where he handed over a medical ventilator to Medical Superintendent Dr N Jitendra and JNIMS Director Professor Th Bhimo.
"Leaders in the Centre have given their assurances that the State will not be affected by the final solution of the Naga peace process.
The assurances were given before the people and Ministers.
We have to wait and see.
In the meantime, let there be democratic form of protests to show people's stand on the issue," he said.
"It is important that people are pressuring the Centre to safeguard State's integrity.
But at the same time, people should trust the Chief Minister and Ministers", Jayantakumar said hinting that the State Government is confident Centre will honour its assurances.
The ventilator was donated by Medi Assist Insurance TPA Pvt Ltd.
About 18/10 ventilators are in the pipeline to be given to the hospital through National health Mission, the Health Minister said.
