Imphal, July 15 2014: There are 7 to 8 more members of Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) who are in the hit list of NSCN (IM) in accordance to intelligence reports.

This was disclosed by Home Minister Gaikhangam in the State Assembly today while responding to a calling attention motion raised by MLA of Trinamool Congress Dr I Ibohalbi in connection with the recent incident of killing Ngalangzar Malue, an elected member of ADC, Ukhrul.

The Home Minister said that NSCN-IM has killed a large number of people including a former Chief Minister.

The patience of the Government has been tested to the limit, the systematic killing of people by NSCN (I-M) can no longer be tolerated and the Government of India, which is undergoing peace talks with NSCN (I-M) should not ignore the activities of the militant outfit, Gaikhangam said.

On the deployment of security forces in Ukhrul town in the aftermath of the killing of Ngalangzar, the Home Minister clarified that it is not to harass the people but to maintain law and order.

So, people should extend their co-operation.
