Seminar on life and works of M Nabakishor held

Kakching, December 13 2019: Eramdam Khorjei Apunba Lup (EKHAL), Hiyanglam-Wabagai has organised a one-day seminar on life and literary works of eminent writer and Sahitya Akademi awardee Maibam Nabakishor Singh at the Hiyanglam Mayai Leikai residence of the writer on Thursday.

The programme was attended by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Imphal former president Professor Nongmaithem Tombi; Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi General Council Member Dr Jodhachandra Sanasam and EKHAL vice president Thounaojam Ngouba as the presidium members.

At the beginning of the function, Maibam Nabakishor sought blessing from his two teachers namely Huidrom Bihari from Hiyanglam and Kshetrimayum Mangal Singh from Kakching Turel Wangma by giving simple gifts.

A souvenir which contains the details of life and literary works of M Nabakishor was also released during the programme.

The seminar was conducted in two sessions.

The first session was moderated by Dr Jodhachandra while Dr Sanasam Nabadwip, Dr Nongmaithem Pramodini Devi, Pukhrambam Kunjo and Dr Makhonmani Mongshaba presented papers on different topics concerning life and literary works of Maibam Nabakishor.

In the second session which was moderated by Professor Nahakpam Aruna Devi, Dr Chirom Rajketan Singh, Amom Sarjubala Devi and Dr H Roibala Devi presented papers.
