Imphal, October 13 2012: A medical team from PHC-Moreh joined hands with ANMs who were recently posted to New Somtal PHSC and BPMU Staffs of PHC-Moreh in conducting two RCH-Health Camps at New Somtal and Khengjang, the last border and hard to reach villages of Manipur.

The health camp at New Somtal was conducted on October 12 while the camp at Khengjang was conducted today.

For conducting these health camps, the joint medical team had to go from Myanmar after seeking due permission from Myanmarese authority.

At New Somtal camp, in all 177 patients including 79 male and 98 female were examined while at Khengjang, another 207 patients including 99 male and 108 female were provided medical assistance.

During the course of these health camps in which people from nearby Molcham also turned up, routine immenizations like BCG, DPT/OPV, HBV (HeBV1, HeBV2 and HeBV3), Measles, etc were also given to 67 children apart from extending ante-natal care support to 19 expectant mothers.
