National Commission for Safai Karmacharis starts functioning

The National Commission for Safai Karmacharis (NCSK) Chairman Manhar Valjibhai Zala declared that the commission has started functioning in the State today.
Addressing a press meet held at the conference hall of Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC) today, the Chairman asserted that the Commission is operational in the State so as to cherish the Prime Minister's aspirations of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas'.
He continued that the commission had initially discussed at length about the difficulties and inconveniences of Safai Karmacharis in the State, following which a meeting with the said Safai Karmacharis was organised today.
He further stated that the matter has also been deliberated with the respective Deputy Commissioners and other high ranking officials after the meeting.
The chairman maintained that the commission will ensure that all the Karmacharis get their deserving rights as included in the Labours Act, apart from addressing all the inconveniences and difficulties faced by them.
Manhar added that it is the responsibility of the National Commission for Safai Karmacharis to provide the benefits of the schemes which are meant for labourers, including routine check up, to the labourers.
NCSK secretary Narain Das, member Manju Diler, Private secretary to NCSK chairman Mahendra Prasad and NCSK consultant Pooran Singh also attended the press meet.
