Hari Sankirtan performance showcased

Bishnupur, November 12 2024: With the goal of educating the youth, the Shri Shri Govindaji Thougal Nupi Holy Doll showcased a performance of Hari Sankritan at Konjeng Junior High School located at Moirang Patlou Leikai today.

The performance was sponsored by the Cultural Function and Production Grant (CFPG) under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The event was graced by Ahanthem Rajmohon Singh, president, The Thangjing Art & Cultural Academy Moirang as the chief guest; Moirangthem Shyama Devi, Head Mistress Konjeng Junior High School Moirang as the functional president and Khwairakpam Kishwoijit Singh and Phairembam Topeshwor Singh, Assistant Teachers, Konjeng Junior High School as the guest of honour.

Speaking on the occasion, Moirangthem Shyama lauded the Shri Shri Govindaji Thougal Nupi Holy Doll for their performance in an effort to teach the younger generation about different Manipuri art forms.

She advocated for more performances of such artforms in the future to help preserve and promote them.

Later, Shri Shri Govindaji Thougal Nupi Holy Doll presented a showcase of Basok and Nupi Pala at Ningthempokpa Mandop located at Moirang College Gate.
