Imphal, February 12 2018: A book "Plant Names of Manipur- Etymology, Eponymy, Legends and Systematics" was released today at the Department of Life Sciences, Manipur University today.

Sanjoy Singh Ningthoujam, Anupam Das Talukdar, Kumar Singh Potsangbam and Manabendra Dutta Choudhury are the co-authors of the book released today.

EK Janaki Amal National Awardee Professor Waikhom Vishwanath of Life Sciences Department of Manipur University, Principal of GP Womens' College Dr B Lalhari Sharma, Head of Life Sciences Department MU RK Gambhir Singh and Dean of College of Agriculture CAU, Iroisemba Prof Joykumar Meitei Laishram attended the event as presidium members.

Prof Joykumar spoke about the book during the event.

Prof W Vishwanath said that the book will be invaluable to the students.
