MBBS/BDS tests today

Authority is all set for the MBBS/BDS entrance test for selecting state nominees for the session 2011-12 which would be conducted by the state health services tomorrow at 11 centres.
Altogether 4720 candidates of which 2745 are females and 1975 are males will take part in the entrance test.
The question papers for the entrance test were brought and deposited at R&D Wing at Lamphel, Imphal West District under strict security protection.
They were formally opened today at the Hall of R&D Wing, Lamphel in presence of the media by the Health and Family Welfare Director and representatives of Lamphel police.
Health Director, Dr Ibomcha said that the test will be conducted in 11 centres, namely DM College of Commerce, DM College of Teachers' Education, Ibotonsana Hr Sec School, GP Women's College, Regular English H/S, Little Flower School, Imphal College, Ng College, Oriental College, Ramlal Paul Hr Sec School and Manipur College.
He said, they will try their best to declare the results of the entrance test on the same day made available at www.manipur.gov.in, the director said.
The director said RIMS was allotted 30 seats for state students and the total intake capacity of JNIMS is 100, 15 are reserved for students from outside the state.
If the MCI fails to renew the licence for JNIMS, the state has a policy to send 85 candidates selected from this entrance test to medical colleges outside the state.
