MBC holds 63rd birthday with religious fervour

Imphal, March 11 2018:
Manipur Baptist Convention Centre Church celebrated its 63rd foundation day at MBC Church, Chingmeirong today demonstrating the faithfulness of God upon the church since its inception way back in 1955 .
The celebration held on the theme "Growing Together in God's Grace" was graced by Rev L Timothy Phaomei, Pastor, RNBA Centre Church; Rev L Simon Raomai, Pastor, MBC Centre Church; founders of the church, Pungai Hungyo; M Gandhi and M Tuizar.
The function started with hoisting of the church flag by Rev L Timothy Phaomei followed by Hallelujah chorus song by the church choir.
The congregation read out the Manipur Christian Covenant - 1923 in unison led by Rev L Simon Raomai remembering the pioneering Pastors and leaders with deep sense of love, gratitude and honour in nostalgia for establishing the church.
Adimjati Girls' Hostel, the Harvest Team and the Church BYF Choreographer added more colours to the celebration.
Speaking at the occasion, Rev Timothy Phaomei expounded the theme with an inspiring message that the Christian, the people of God should grow together in spirit, love and unity towards maturity and perfection in Christ.
It may be mentioned that Manipur Baptist Church is an apex body of the Baptist churches in the State.
At present it has 29 associations, over 1330 churches and approximately 2,00,000 baptized members.
MBC is under the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI) .
It is also a member of Asia Pacific Baptist Federation (APBF) and Baptist World Alliance (BWA) .
