Moirang, November 10 2024: Impulse NGO Network Shillong and its State partner, New Life Foundation-Manipur organised a workshop on human trafficking at Omba Ching Nurathel Training Hall.

Deputy Director of Department of Social Welfare, Saroja Konsam, Programme Officer of State Child Protection Society, Mala Lisarn, Programme Officer SARA, Department of Social Welfare, Gyaneluxmi Thongam and Outreach worker, District Child protection Unit, Bishnupur.

Khoisnam Manocha Singh attended the workshop as resource persons.

New Life Foundation secretary Dr Lamabam Pishak spoke at the workshop on human trafficking and related rescue, rehabilitation and legal prosecution issues.

He underscored the importance of raising awareness on human trafficking among the public.

Collective effort of all the stakeholders including the public, NGOs, media and Government institutions is needed to face the organised crime of human trafficking, he said.
