Rally held to celebrate Prophet Muhammad's birth anniversary at Jiri

Jiribam, November 10 2019:
Muslim brethren of Jiribam District and Jirighat in Cachar District of Assam celebrated Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad today.
In connection with the celebration, a procession was carried out from Babupara Jame-Masjid, Jiribam where hundreds of devotees from various localities of Jiribam and Jirighat participated which culminated at Lalpani, Cachar.
The rally was jointly organised by Ahle Sunnat Wal Jammat, Jiri Valley Central Committee and Sunni Students Federation, Jiribam District Committee.
Speaking at the sideline of the procession, the Finance Secretary of Sunni Students Federation, National Committee Salman Khurshid said that the rally was organised in commemoration of Prophet Muhammad birthday where the Muslim devotees from various place of Jiribam and Jirighat, Cachar gathered to mark Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi celebration.
Later, all the devotees gathered at Lalpani, Cachar mosque where religious scholars threw light on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
