Lamka, July 10 2014: In a bizarre incident, two babies were rescued from being sold by their father at Moirang Khunou in Churachandpur district today.

Churachandpur police team led by Abdul Salem, Officer-in-Charge today conducted a search operation with cooperation of Manipur Alliance for Child Rights Churachandpur Chapter, Zomi Youth Association (ZYA), Zomi Students Association (ZSF) and Zomi Mothers' Association (ZMA) and managed to rescue the two babies.

MACR Convenor Nicky Thanga will look after the two rescued girls while necessary procedure for their rehabilitation is being made, according to a source.
