Sit in protest staged denouncing firing at school van

Imphal, May 09 2019: Denouncing the firing at the van of Hill Valley English Academy Lamlai School, All Manipur School Students Transporters Association staged a sit in protest at Tiddim ground today.

All Manipur School Students Transporters Association (AMSSTA) general secretary Jimmy Tongbram stated that the association, which is the apex body of all school van services in the State, strongly condemns the firing at one of the Hill Valley English Academy's van by some armed miscreants at Lamlai on the midnight of May 4.He maintained that firing at a vehicle which conducts the service of transporting students is unfortunate and highly condemnable.

Maintaining that such heinous actions are happening in the State amidst the call by different CSOs and student organisations for an education free zone in the State, Jimmy appealed the party/organisation concerned not to repeat such action in the future.
