Thadou bodies decry

Imphal, May 09 2016: The Thadou Students' Association, Thadou Youth Association and Thadou Women Asso- ciation have rubbished the rescue story of Singnat MLA's PRO by the Manipur Police Commandos.

The associations have termed the account as fake alleging that it targeted to tarnish the image of Sadar Hills.

Vehemently condemning Manipur Police Commandos for the alleged fake rescue story, the Thadou bodies have demanded an open apology from responsible authorities to the Sadar Hills people.

They further appealed to the State Gov- ernment to stop such intimidating acts in the hill districts to maintain peaceful coexistence.

It also asked the PRO of Singnat MLA to come out openly and relate the true story.

Meanwhile, the Thadou bodies have ap- pealed to all the UGs both SoO and non SoO groups operating within Sadar Hills to instantly shun any anti-social and anti-Gov- ernment activities that affect the peaceful coexistence of the people.

It also made clear that the civil bodies will boldly respond to any UGs indulging in anti social and anti Government activities henceforth.

The civil bodies in Sadar Hills will no longer tolerate disturbance of peace and tran- quillity of Sadar Hills either by UGs or Government agencies, the bodies asserted.
