Three new cases detected, 11 discharged

Imphal, April 09 2022:
The state on Saturday reported only three new positive cases out of 271 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 1.11 per cent positivity rate against 0.93 per cent recorded on Friday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll still remains at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received the second dose of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, four patients were discharged front home isolation (2) and Covid Care facilities (2) .
However, seven already discharged cases were added on Saturday raising the total number of discharged cases in the last 24 hours to 11 .
Consequently, the number of active cases declined to 41 out of which 23 (56.10 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 299 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 189 in RIMS.
Out of the 16 districts, only three reported fresh Covid cases on Saturday.
So far, the state has recorded 11,361 positive cases and 118 fatalities, since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 55 new positive cases and no fatality.
The weekly number of new cases is 44 .
According to official reports, all the three fresh cases (2 male & 1 female) are from among the general population and they are from Imphal East (1), Imphal West (1) and Kakching (1) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,149 (general population - 1,32,135 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,34,988 (general population - 1,29,981 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 41 (general population - 41 and CAPF personnel - 0).The recovery rate is 98.42 per cent.
A total of 327 D-type and 87 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours while 2237 vaccine doses were administered on Friday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,47,888, out of which 11,87,741 had received the second doses and 67,775 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based On IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48726), Imphal East (30436), Thoubal (10151), Churachandpur (11052), Kangpokpi(3130), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9831), Senapati (2492), Ukhrul (3272), Kakching (6893), Chandel (2718), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1200), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036), and Pherzawl (465).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,199 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,653 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,17,134 tests per million population against the national average of 5,65,145 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 271 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 1.11 per cent while the cumulative rate stands at 8.55 per cent.
