AR takes medical camp to Kangvai

Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) conducted a medical camp as part of Operation Sadbhavana at Kangvai village, Churachandpur district yesterday.
An impressive 532 locals including 112 elderly, 182 children, 149 women and 89 men benefited from the services provided in the camp held to promote health and well-being among the internally displaced persons and locals.
The camp offered comprehensive medical check-ups and provision of medications.
A dedicated team of Assam Rifles doctors including Dental Surgeon along with Medical Specialist, Paediatric Specialist, Dermatologist, Orthopedic Surgeon and Gynaecologist from Churachandpur Medical College provided the medical assistance to ensure all possible healthcare services are available at one place during the camp, said IGAR (South) in a statement.
The camp extended support beyond mere consultation.
Individuals suffering from various conditions including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, abdomen pain, URTI and fever were provided with medications and bedridden patients were provided with essential medical equipment such as lumbar belts, crutches and rehabilitation materials.
