Imphal, December 08 2012:
The demand for Kukiland is a call for a civil war like situation in Manipur; and so no organization should take undue advantage of the weak policy of the State and try to disintegrate Manipur, RK Rajendra, founder member of International Meetei Forum, has warned.
Addressing media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, RK Rajendra categorically stated that there were no Kuki in the erstwhile Manipur Kingdom.
The Kukis came into existence only after arrival of British in Manipur.
As such, the proposed map of Kukiland demanded by the Kukis, which has been created by including the notified forest areas of Manipur should be withdrawn immediately.
He further stated that since time immemorial, different communities settling in the State of Manipur have repulsed all outsiders with unity and ones.
The International Meetei Forum would always stand firm when it comes to the question of integrity of Manipur, Rajendra.
