Kangpokpi, October 08 2015: Young Voter's Festival and Women Specific SVEEP Campaign has kicked off in the Sadar Hills under ERO, Kangpokpi on Wednesday in connection with the Special Summary Revision of Photo Rolls-2016 .

The Young Voter's Festival and Women Specific SVEEP Campaign was launched at Kanggui Christian College in the presence DK Thangboi, MCS, Additional DC Sadar Hills, who is also the Electoral Registration Officer; Chungsat Khongsai, Election Officer, ADC Kangpokpi and Doulet Khongsai, Principal Kanggui Christian College, Kangpokpi.

They stressed on the importance of voter enrollment and electoral participation during the function.

Students especially women who have attained 18 years of age and who are about to attain this age were encouraged to enroll themselves in the voter list so as to exercise their right to vote.

Meanwhile, the same programme was also organized on Thursday at Presidency College, Motbung in the presence of Chungsat Khongsai, Election Officer, ADC Kangpokpi.

College students mostly women participated in the function where the Campus Ambassador and the Election Officer emphasized on the need for voter enrollment and electoral participation.

The participants were also educated on how to exercise the adult franchise during the function.

The concluding programme will be organized at Thangtong Higher Secondary School in Saikul hill town on Friday.
