Ayurveda Parv Manipur begins today

With an aim to promote Ayurveda, three-day Ayurveda Parv Manipur will begin from tomorrow at City Convention Centre.
Chairman of Ayurveda Parv Manipur, Salam Rupachandra sought support and cooperation from all for the successful conduct of the event which will be held till September 11 while addressing media persons during a press meet held today at Manipur Press Club.
He further informed that the event is being organised by Vinoba Seva Pratisthan (VSP) with financial support from the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India in collaboration with Ayurvedic Doctors' Association of Manipur (ADAM), Kasturba Gandhi Seva Ashram (KGSA) Manipur, South Asia Fraternity (SAF) Manipur and Gandhi Global Foundation (GGF) New Delhi.
Governor La Ganesan will inaugurate the event, he added.
Manoj Jena, National Convenor of Ayurveda Parv who was present at the press meet stated that AYUSH is the traditional healing system of the Nation and stressed on the need of adoption of traditional line of treatment like Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha , Homoeopathy and Yoga which not only treats the diseases but prevents its recurrence.
He went on to inform that the various departments of AYUSH namely Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) , Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN) Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS)Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) and National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) will participate in the event.
He continued that exhibitions will be organised to showcase the benefits of the traditional lines of treatment and successful case studies of treatment and stated that free health clinics will be operationalized where people from all walks of life can avail the treatment free of cost.
Along with this free morning Yoga classes will be organised for the masses and debate, drawing, cultural talent competition and awareness rally on Ayurveda will also be held, he added.
Manoj Jena also called on the people of the State to avail the benefit of the Parv and participate in the different programme for the benefit of the State and future of mankind.
