Remembering Sapam Robinhood who was killed on July 8 last during an Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) demand rally, thousands of people paid tribute to the departed student who has already been honoured with the title "Lamjing Meira" or the "Pioneering Light" by staging sit-ins, taking out rallies and observing candle light vigils in several parts of Valley districts on Saturday.
Joint Action Committee against the Brutal Killing of Sapam Robinhood (Thoi) organised a rally participated by large number of girls and women who turned up with their two wheelers at Khurai Lamlong.
The silent rally was flagged off from Khurai Lamlong.

They also observed a two-minute silence after which they shouted slogans demanding the implementation of ILPS in Manipur.
Vice Chairman of Joint Action Committee Raghubir Salam said that suspension of six police personnel in connection with the killing of Robinhood after completion of one month is nothing but a ploy to suppress the movement.
While severely criticizing the Government's action and terming it as untrustworthy, Raghubir asserted that the ILPS agitation will continue until befitting punishment is awarded to all those involved in the brutal killing.
"We should let them know that police cannot kill a person and go scot free", Raghubir said and appealed the people to support the ongoing mass movement.
Meanwhile, demanding implementation of ILPS in the state, people at different parts of the valley districts staged sit-in protests.
Demanding immediate implementation of ILPS and punishment of personnel involved in the killing of Robinhood, MACS Partner NGO's Forum (MPNF) organised a sit-in at Nirvana Foundation of Khurai Tinsid Road.
