Govt to increase DA/DR in staggered manner, strike call off

Imphal, September 07 2021: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Government and MFSF/MSSA/MSDA today regarding the revised of DA/DR and the cease work strike called by the associations has been called off.

After a detailed discussion was held at a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister, a decision to increase DA/DR in a staggered manner was taken.

It was agreed upon that the DA/DR will be increased to 14% from October 1, 2021; 17.5% from April 1, 2022; 21% from June 1 and 28% from December 1, 2022 .

The Government will form a committee to look into the matter for the subsequent DA/DR increases.

Manipur Government Services' Federation (MGSF), Manipur Secretariat Services Association (MSSA) and Manipur Secretariat Drivers' Association (MSDA) have agreed to call off the cease work strike.
