IPR Director releases "Nongshaba"

Director of Information & Public Relations (IPR), Dr Th Charanjeet Singh today released the monthly journal "Nongshaba" in a solemn function held at the Auditorium of DIPR Office Complex in Nityaipat Chuthek, Imphal West.
"Nongshaba" is published by Kshetrimayum Shanta Singh and edited by Salam Bimola Devi.
The function was also graced by Kshetrimayum Shanta Singh and Tongbram Ramesh Singh, Joint Director, IPR as presidium members.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Dr Th Charanjeet applauded the Nongshaba monthly journal team on its 12th Foundation Day and the re-releasing of its journal after some gap years due to Covid pandemics.
He asserted that the Directorate has keen interest for the welfare of the journalists fraternity and has been supporting many media personnel under various welfare schemes.
The Director also invited the professionals from the media fraternity to participate in the competition of "Best Editor and Best Reporter (on certain categories)", being organised by the Directorate where the winners are to be awarded on the National Press Day this year.
Ksh Shanta expressed his concern over the increasing number of unofficial and unauthorized media groups in social media platforms.
Tongbram Ramesh stated that the wave of journalism has significantly increased these days.
He also mentioned that "Nongshaba" is one of the eight monthly journals recognised by DIPR.
