BJP intending candidates keep their hopes alive

Imphal, February 03 2017: Many BJP intending candidates are still hopeful of getting party tickets for the coming 11th State Legislative Assembly election, as the names of 29 candidates still remain unannounced.

Heikham Dingo, one of the four BJP intending candidates of 16-Sekmai A/C has expressed belief that he would get the party ticket.

Speaking at a public meeting held at his Khurkhul residence which was attended by people from 3 8 booths of Sekmai A/C, Dingo said, "If I do not get the BJP ticket, then I will plan my next move according to the people ' s wishes".

Dingo, who is contesting for the second time, said that he would bring development to Sekmai A/C ifhe is elected.

It is worth pointing out that BJP has already announced the names of its candidates for 31 constituencies while candidates for 2 9 constituencies still remain unannounced, Sekmai being one of them.

It is also worth noting that the candidates who failed to get the party tickets have been joining other political parties.
