Born on January 23, 1996 at Japhou village, Ng Ringvean Monsang is a young artiste from Monsang community of Chandel district in Manipur.
He developed an interest in art since early age and he began to strive hard to fulfill his dream of becoming an artist.
In spite of the fact that the state of fine arts in Monsang community is almost nil and there is no concerted effort or institutionalized support to promote fine arts in the community, Ringvan has managed to keep alive his passion for drawing and painting and won numerous prizes at the school and district-level competitions.
In this painting, the young artist, says, he draws his inspiration from all the beautiful Monsang Naga women.

In the eyes of the young artist, there is nothing to compare with the beauty of Monsang women.
"The cultural dresses and the ornaments they wear, the beauty and sophistication they exude, the sincerity and humility ingrained in them, their passion for living, the hard world and sacrifices call for great admiration", Ringvean said.
