Imphal, November 30 2019: The State Government has extended the 10th Manipur Sangai Festival, which was scheduled to conclude today, till December 2 .

A notice issued by the Director of Tourism Department informed that the closing ceremony, to be graced by Governor Dr Najma Heptulla as the chief guest and to be presided by Chief Minister N Biren Singh, will now be held at 4.30 pm of December 2 at BOAT, Hapta Kangjeibung.

Notably, the COCOMI has been boycotting the festival in protest against possible negative impact of the Naga solution on Manipur.
