Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker launches OK's Papad

Imphal, April 30 2020: Speaker Yumnam Khemchand Singh launched OK's Rice Papad at Tera Urak, Industrial Estate Bishnupur today, stated a press release issued by DIPR today.

Director of Information and Public Relations H Balkrisna Singh and spouse of Speaker Yumnam (O) Joybala Devi attended the function as presidium members.

The Speaker in his speech said that the economy of a country cannot be based only on Government.

Industry nourishes a Nation's economy and in order to achieve that, it needs to produce more entrepreneurs, he said.

He also appreciated the proprietor of OK's Papad Lourembam Orenkumar and wished him luck.

Proprietor Orenkumar said that people will surely enjoy the Papad and also informed that ABN Enterprise is the sole distributor of the newly launched papad in the North East region.

The function was also attended by Deputy Director DIPR L Ashok Kumar Singh, entrepreneurs and staff of the industrial estate.

All attendees wore masks and maintained social distance, it added.

At the side lines of the programme, Y Khemchand visited all manufacturing units of the industrial estate and purchased 'Disinfection Water' manufactured by by 'Sahwa' for an amount of Rs 2,50,000 .
