Sit-in protests demand justice for Rohit

Thoubal, December 31 2021: JAC Against the Brutal killing of Ningthoujam Rohit on Friday staged sit-in protests at Heirok Part-3 Tourangbam Leikai and Heirok Part-2 Pujari Chithek demanding justice for the deceased student.

Placards including, "Punish all involved in the murder of N Rohit", "We condemn poll related violence", etc were extensively used at the protest.

It may be mentioned that in view of the increasing cases of violence which ultimately led to the killing of a student on December 21, various preventive measures have been initiated in Heirok to avoid further poll related violence including imposition of restrictions under 144 CrPC by District Magistrate Thoubal and deployment of Paramilitary forces.
