Protestors attemted to storm CM Bungalow

Imphal, October 30 2012: Hundreds of protestors today tried to storm the gate of Chief Minister's Bungalow demanding justice for the mysterious death of Mona who was found dead hanging from the ceiling fan of her room on October 28 last.

The security personnel deployed along the way to the Bungalow, however, prevented the mob from coming any closer to the Chief Minister's bungalow.

After a short scuffle, the protestors were ultimately driven off till Sanjenthong area.

Later, some of the volunteers of the JAC were permitted to meet the Chief Minister and submit their memorandum.

Demands highlighted in the memorandum included punishment of her husband and father-in-law who are allegedly involved in the death of Mona and to dismiss the husband of Mona from his job.

The JAC has also made it clear that the death body of Mona would be taken only after the persons involved are arrested by the police.
