Imphal, July 30 2020: Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayantakumar has sought the attention of Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, Shripad Naik to sanction funds for establishment of 5 new Health and Wellness Centres in the State.

The Health Minister sought Naik's attention to instal the health and wellness centres during a webinar organised by the National Ayush Mission and Ayush HWC (Health and Wellness Centre) under the Ayushman Bharat.

He sought the attention of the Central Minister to give approval/sanction funds for the proposed 5 HWCs and existing 17 other HWCs for two financial years (2019-20 and 2020-21) .

During the webinar, L Jayantakumar highlighted the achievements of his department like, production and wide spread telecast of short film on benefits of yoga to deal with stress and anxiety during COVID-19, awareness programmes held on Ayush treatment, production of food supplement called Ayush Immune Plus and establishment of health and wellness centres.
