Awardees of Kayakalp Award feted; Swachhta Pakhwada kicks off

Thoubal, March 30 2019: District Health Society Thoubal, under the aegis of National Health Mission, organised a felicitation programme for awardees of the district which bagged the District Kayakalp Award and kicked off the Swachhta Pakhwada 2019 at the conference hall of district hospital , Thoubal today.

Chief Medical Officer Thoubal Dr N Jayantakumar Singh graced the function as the chief guest while District Family Welfare Officer Thoubal Dr Ksh Memcha attended as functional president and District programme manager of District Health Society Thoubal Ch Basanta as guest of honour.

Dr N Jayantakumar, while speaking on the occasion, lauded the district hospital, PHC, CHC in Thoubal district for receiving prestigious State level awards adding that bagging such awards has paid off the relentless efforts of the staff and employees of the centres.

He urged all to keep up the work and receive the award in the next year too while urging the public to help in keeping the hospitals and health centres clean.

MO in charge of CHC, PHC who received the Kayakalp Award along with those individuals who worked heart and soul in the Kayakalp 2018-19 were awarded with gifts and certificates as well.

Later on, Dr N Jayantakumar launched the Swachhta Pakhawada 2019 .
