Biswajit releases 2018 wall calender of SAT

Imphal, January 30 2018: Administrative Reforms Minister, Thongam Biswajit Singh released the State Academy of Training Wall Calendar 2018, at the conference hall of his New Secretariat office, today.

The calendar aims to inform the public about the training academy's various functions, which include conducting foundation course of State Civil Services, State Accounts training, Office Procedure training, Attachment Course of All India Services, Professional Course of various State Services, etc.

The calendar also highlights Centrally Sponsored Training Programmes including Disaster Management, Child Labour, Health Care and Sanitation etc.

Speaking at the function, the Minister said the State Academy provides training to all levels of State employees, ranging from high level officers to lower ranked employees of different departments.

The training is provided with the main objective of bringing good governance in the State, he continued.

He said that during the training conducted in the academy, experienced officers of the State like IAS officers including DCs and Department Directors share their service experiences with the newly inducted officers of MCS, MFS, MSS, Jr MCS, EO, etc.

The Minister also said that after due consideration with the Chief Secretary, Commissioners, Department Heads, extra training courses for the newly inducted officers will be started from next year with the main objective of improving the administration of various departments.

The present Government is also considering increasing the budget allotment for the Academy to improve its infrastructure, he said.

Director General, SAT Oinam Nabakishore Singh, said that the academy is imparting training programmes to State officials round the year.

He said that the academy has conducted short term courses on basic information technology, e-governance for more than 500 trainee employees.

A two month foundation course of State Civil Services has also been conducted, he added.

Today's calendar release function was also attended by Additional Director, SAT, A Shivadas Sharma, Deputy Director, SAT, Dr Y Suraj Singh and Administrative Officer, SAT, S Sambhunath Singh among others.
