AgriPulse - Accelerate North-East launched

Central Agricultural University, Imphal under the Indigram Labs Foundation (ILF), has launched "Imphal Roadshow Agenda"/AgriPulse -2018 at its campus in Iroishemba today.
Speaking at the event, Professor M Premjit said that launching the AgriPulse, Accelerate North East/AgriPulse - 2018 is a great challenge.
This programme will help scale up early stage entrepreneurs/ agripreneurs, he said.
The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi had recognised and emphasised that the second green revolution/ green revolution should start from North-East India as use of chemical pesticide or chemical consumption is very low.
The PM had said that North-East India has' vast scope for organic farming, he said.
Doubling the farmers' income generation by 2022 is everyone's duty.
It is a great challenge, he said.
The focus of the programme is to encourage the youths of the State in becoming agripreneurs, he added.
AgriPulse - Accelerate North-East would served as partnership and networking platform for different stakeholders, who want to engage with North East Entrepreneurs.
It aims at providing tailored mentorship and customized capacity building programmes.
It would also facilitate North East entrepreneurs in exploring business opportunities in pan India market, said experts at the event.
AgriPulse -2018 aims at recognising potential game-changing early stage entrepreneurs from North-East and creating a supportive ecosystem to help them scale up their business.
The area of focus are Agro & food processing projects, horticulture, tea, spices, floriculture and medicinal plants, poultry, fisheries, piggery and dairy, coir, bamboo and rural craft products, eco agro and nature tourism and organic farming etc.
Who can apply?
Early stage startups based in North-Eastern States of India working on a solution that address the socio-economic needs of society.
Those having at least a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with a fair degree of customer validation of Proof of Concept (POC).
Indigram Labs Foundation (ILF) was set ups as a Technology business incubator in 2016 and supported by NSTEDB, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
