Multiple issues are threatening career of students: AK Mirabai

Imphal, July 29 2018: The State is besieged with multiple issues and the issues are threatening the careers of student community in the State, said MLA AK Mirabai.

She was speaking at a felicitation programme for students and achievers at Sangaiprou Community hall today, jointly organised by Sangaiprou Naharol Club and Anjika Centre for Dance and Movement Therapy, Imphal Branch.

Referring to the impasse in Manipur University, the MLA said that the students have the right to protest over the issues in the University.

However she discouraged students joining other movements which are not related to student community.

Encouraging the young students, she urged them to work hard in the Class X and XII examinations and said that the said examinations are crucial in deciding their careers.

2 position holders (Class X & XII examination) from Sangaiprou area, 16 first division holders, Thang-Ta martial artists who have bagged medals in the National level competitions and newly appointed Principal of MB College Prof Dr Mairembam Chandra were felicitated and encouraged with mementoes and citations at the event.

Imphal West Adhakahya RK Taruni, Changangei ZP member S Rahul (Marjit) also attended the event.
