Imphal, June 29 2016:
All Manipur Students' Union, Thoubal District Committee has
cautioned high school and higher secondary school students of
Thoubal district to neither carry mobile phones nor come to
schools on their personal two-wheelers.
In a statement, AMSU, Thoubal District Committee said
that students these days have been following trends that do
not match with the academic values and qualities.
Lack of
discipline is considered as a trend.
In order to discipline the students, certain rectifications
are required.
Frequent accidents due to reckless riding and
inattentiveness inside the classrooms due to constant fid-
dling with the mobile phones have been noticed among the
students.
Students should uphold the responsibilities and
duties expected of them so as to set an example to younger
generations.
However, it is unfortunate to notice them being
preoccupied with certain trends that would be of no help to
their academic career.
AMSU, Thoubal District Committee has started to launch
a drive to check such activities since yesterday.
Carrying
mobile phones is strictly not allowed and coming to school
on two-wheelers is prohibited.
AMSU, Thoubal District Committee expects the students
to take the instructions seriously and extend co-operation,
the statement said.
