Imphal, January 28 2020:
Claiming that the current Superintendent of Police of Noney District has been communal in dealing many situations in the district, the Rongmei Naga Youth Organisation Manipur (RNYOM) appealed the State Government to transfer PG Singsit from Noney District and rope in new friendly officer within 10 days.
A press release issued by RNYOM said that SP, PG Singsit and his administration has been agony to the people of Noney and many are in the opinion of seeking new SP at the earliest.
It is quite evident that the traffic regulations in and around Noney District HQ remained uncheck for a couple of years now, leading to several death and injuries and vehicular movement along NH-37 has not been maintained due to the absence of police outpost within the District HQ, it said further claiming that the SP also shied away from several inter-village disputes, thereby resulting in numerous violences and clashes.
Saying that the police public relation in the district has also deteriorated beyond measure since he ( PG Singsit) took over as the SP of the district, RNYOM added that several CSOs have unanimously agreed to approach the relevant authority to sort this matter.
It then cautioned that several agitations will be launched if the State Government and authority concerned failed to address the public grievances within 10 days.
