Churachandpur, November 26 2019: The body of Lalnghaktlat that was recovered near Saidan bridge yesterday has been claimed by the family following a settlement with individuals involved in the case.

Hmar Students Association reportedly meditated a settlement after two people from Saidan village � the same village the victim belongs, 'confessed to having committed the crime' .

Monetary compensation and other traditional and customary fines were fulfilled, sources said.

The body which was kept at the District Hospital Mortuary after conducting an autopsy at Imphal was also claimed and laid to rest today.
