Many wish on Ningol Chakkouba

Imphal, October 26 2019: Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Moirang-them Okendro, MLA of Nungba AC, Gaikhangam, North East India Develop-ment Party (NEIDP), Mani- pur State and United Peoples' Front (UPF) Manipur have extended warm wishes to the people of the State, specially women, on the auspicious occasion of Ningol Chakkouba.

In his statement, Okendra said that Ningol Chakkouba is considered as one of the most important festivals of Manipur which rejuvenates family ties and strengthens the bond of love and affection between family members.

He then prayed for the festival to guide Manipur into an era of peace, development and tranquillity.

Member of Congress Working Committee, Gaikhangam said that Ningol Chakkouba has played a significant role in bettering the relationship between hills and valley people as many have started celebrating the festival with the involvement of different communities.

NEIDP and UPF too expressed hope that the festival would foster the spirit of harmony, peaceful coexistence and goodwill amongst all the communities in the State.
